Assuming environmental clearance is received, the next steps are right-of-way acquisitions and construction plans development. Right-of-way acquisition is expected to begin in 2017 and completed in 2019 along with construction plans. The current financial forecasts show construction funds will be available in 2021.
TXDOT is developing plans for improvements to FM 2493. Several planning projects are currently proceeding along this corridor, which stretches from Loop 323 in Tyler to US 69 south of Bullard.
